Wish list written by a foster child in Oklahoma

A sneak glimpse of a boy who moved the entire globe to tears was shared on Facebook by the group “Dreamcatchers for Abused Children.”

This group works to help and look after kids who have experienced any kind of abuse inside the family.

Parents who mistreat their children are removed from the house and brought to a facility where they are given assistance, care, and understanding.

The young children then search for an adoptive family to care for them and love them without conditions so they may have peaceful, abuse-free lives.

A child from Oklahoma has experienced maltreatment from his biological parents. Both parents, who were alcoholics, abused and starved the child for a number of years. The boy was deprived of the joys of childhood, of the wonderful moments associated with his age.

The boy was taken from his original parents and placed into the care of “Dreamcatchers for Abused Children” after the neighbors notified the police.

The kid was waiting for an adoptive family to provide him a normal life when the organization’s volunteers quickly found one.

The child wrote a letter to his adoptive family detailing his wishes for his new home after learning that he will be adopted by a new family.

This is a wish list from a foster kid in Oklahoma. We MUST ALWAYS keep the kids who lack anything in mind when we think how horrible things are for us.

“Things I want in my family.
I want food and water
Don’t hit on me.
A house with running water and lights.
I want love.

Mom and dad don’t fight.
I want no drugs.
Don’t kill my pets.
Help with school.

Nice clean clothes.
No lice. No bug in house.
Clean house.
Clean bed with covers.

Don’t sell my toys.
Treated fair.
Don’t get drunk.
Tv in house.

Let me keep my school stuff.
Nice shoes.
My own comb soap. Nice house and safe and heater coat.
Toothbrush.”

“Hi everyone, Ricky from Jackson, Mississippi here. I wanted to share my story as a single dad of four girls. Their mom passed away when the youngest was just five months old. I do my best to keep this family together. Imagine being in my shoes. I know you know it’s not easy. I need to take them to school, feed them, clean them, clean their clothes and on top of that provide for the other things. And let’s be honest, things won’t get any easier from here on.
