The news that Tiger Woods underwent back surgery broke recently.

We wish him all the best, but it’s hard to forget the horrible sex scandal that happened nearly ten years ago.

Even if there are a lot of controversies going around right now, nobody can forget the uproar that surrounded Tiger Woods’ cheating in November 2009.

Together, Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren had two children: Sam Alexis and Charlie Axel. At the time, they had been married for roughly five years. When Charlie was born, there was news of Tiger’s mad adultery, which caused his golf career and marriage to fall apart.

This controversy was made even more unpleasant by the fact that he was a habitual cheater who had affairs with over 100 women. Rachel Uchitel was the first of the ladies that were associated with him. He even set up a phone conversation with his mistress in an attempt to convince his wife that the controversy was bogus.

Tiger and Elin divorced in August of 2010. For some women, making the same mistake over and over again is unacceptable, but not for others. What what is wrong with your life that needs you to cheat on your gorgeous Swedish wife when you have two children together?

Nordegren was only thirty years old when she got divorced, but the settlement was well worth the money. She used some of the $100 million she was awarded to purchase a multimillion-dollar property in North Palm Beach, one year after their divorce. That house was recently purchased by her for well under $29 million. The purchaser was Rockstar Energy Drink’s Russell Weiner.

It’s wonderful that Elin rediscovered love and had the capacity to put her trust in a new partner. Her occasionally amorous companion was Chris Cline, a multibillionaire coal mogul and philanthropist. Tiger is a big golf fan, but that’s obviously a higher level! Despite this, the couple was unable to reconcile and parted ways in 2017. Cline died in a helicopter crash on July 4, 2019, barely two years later.

A lot has happened since Elin and Tiger’s divorce more than ten years ago. Despite having divergent love interests, they have been able to co-parent amicably.

Despite having a lot of baggage and resentment to let go of, Elin decided that a peaceful ceasefire would be best for her two kids. She even gets along well with Erica Herman, Woods’ current girlfriend, and is happy that they are in a relationship.

In an interview with Stephen Colbert in October 2016, Woods stated, “We have Sam and we have Charlie.” And we will stop at nothing to ensure that works because we love them so much. It’s amazing how much better we communicate now. It’s been amazing to having a great buddy like that, but I wish we had done that sooner.

Tiger, maybe you should have gone to a couples therapist instead of writing to another woman when you were still married! We wonder what his ex-wife would say if he called her his best friend after so many affairs and betrayals.

Although Nordegren has remained silent about the cheating scandal, she did refer to their divorce as “the wild storm of my personal life” in 2014 and even managed to laugh about it, saying, “I was thrust unexpectedly into the media limelight right after I had taken Communications and the Media… and I probably should have taken more notes in that class.”
