Among the greatest divas was she. We mournfully announce his demise.

Marla Adams, a star of “The Young and the Restless,” passed away.

The 85-year-old actress was the recipient of an Emmy.

The Young and the Restless’s head of talent and media, Matt Kane, revealed the information on Thursday.

He said she passed away in Los Angeles, California.

Marla became well-known for her portrayal as Dina Abbott Mergeron in the popular soap series.

HER PURPOSE
On August 28, 1938, she was born in Ocean City, New Jersey.

She attended The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City after receiving her high school diploma in 1956.

Marla had a successful career on Broadway in the late 1950s.

She costarred alongside Lynn Fontanne and Alfred Lunt in The Visit.

In 1961, she returned to the stage alongside Natalie Wood for Splendor in the Grass.

She portrayed Belle Clemens in the CBS daytime program The Secret Storm from 1968 to 1974.

She later began working as Dina Abbott Mergeron on The Young and the Restless in 1982.

However, she was only on the show for three years before her contract expired.

Despite this, she continued to make guest appearances on the show in 1991, 1996, 2008, and 2017.

Dina returned in 2020, and her tragic demise was seen by her admirers.

Marla received a Daytime Emmy for her role in the drama series.

Marla talked about her experience being on the show while filming her final segment.

“This has been the most astounding, amazing part I’ve ever had the privilege to play,” the actress remarked, “of all the characters I’ve played from The Secret Storm to Broadway.”

On X, the former Twitter, fans posted, “YOU WILL BE MISSED.”

“Amazing as Dina!” Peace be with you, Marla Adams. Fans of Young and the Restless will miss you, someone said.

Another person responded, “OMG, how sad.” I thought this Emmy winner was great. Go gentle on yourself.

“Sending my deepest condolences to her family, friends, and everyone who loved her,” a second fan said in a comment.

Four individuals said, “She was very talented.”
