Andy Beyer eagerly awaited the return of his wife, Justyna, and their daughter, Brielle, from a training camp in Wichita. Brielle, a cancer survivor and elite figure skater, had defied the odds after battling neuroblastoma as a baby. As Andy texted them, fire trucks rushed past him, unaware that a devastating midair collision had claimed their lives. American Airlines Flight 5342 collided with a Black Hawk helicopter, killing 67 people, including Justyna and Brielle. Andy, in his heartbreak, shared his grief on Facebook, honoring Brielle’s talent and Justyna’s unwavering devotion. In his words, “I really lived my life for them, I loved them more than anything, and I’m going to miss them so much.” Their loss leaves an immense void, and their memory remains a testament to love and resilience.
