One of the biggest days we will have in life is the day of our wedding. It’s a day when we stand up with our significant other and exchange the promise that we will be together until the end of time.
Of course, there are some things that can interrupt the happiness of any marriage, and that includes any case of infidelity. Unfortunately, this isn’t something that always happens after years of marriage, there are times when it may show up much earlier.
This couple was in a relationship for a number of years and when it came time for the wedding, it was supposed to be the happiest day of the bride’s life. Unfortunately, the night before the marriage, she received a text that changed the course of her life.
Casey was the bride’s maid for the bride, who wasn’t named. The fiancé, Alex, did have a finger pointed at him. They were enjoying the drink when a number of messages were sent to her phone from an anonymous number.
Along with the screen grabs, the person wrote to her: “I wouldn’t marry him. Will you?”
These messages certainly did not shine a good light on Alex. It seems as if he had been having an affair with another woman in the months leading up to their nuptials.
“This weekend. You and I. It is on, hot stuff. Bring your A game,” one racy message read.
“Your body is f**king incredible. And s**t do you know how to use it. I wish my GF had half the skills you do,” read another.
A third text went on: “I miss you so much. I can’t stop thinking about L, S, F’ing you. I’ve never had this kind of connection before.”
I burst into shamed and broken tears,” Casey wrote. “My girls were threatening all manner of violence against him. They insisted I call him immediately and call the wedding off.”
She continued to write: “But I loved Alex. I wanted to marry Alex tomorrow. I was too shocked and sad to be angry. I didn’t call him.
“Eventually, we tried to go to bed. I didn’t sleep a wink and when dawn finally broke I awoke the girls and told them my decision – I was going to go ahead with the wedding as expected, and ‘out’ him in front of our friends and family.”
She decided to get some revenge by reading the text messages out loud to all of the wedding guests instead of reading her vows.
She said: “It seems Alex is not who I thought he was. I love all of you and as horrible as this is I’m glad you all are here.
“There will not be a wedding reception today, but instead, there will be a celebration of honesty, finding true love and following your heart even when it hurts.”
You can see the blood running from the groom’s face as he turned white as a sheet. His private messages were being outed in front of the entire audience and he finally stomped out of the church with his best man trailing behind.
In the end, Casey said: “It was certainly not the wedding day I had planned but to our credit, it was one he** of a party.”
I’m sure they did have a party that night!
