Stepmom Delivers Special Wedding Vows To Four-Year-Old – His Reaction Breaks Our Hearts

It’s heartwarming to celebrate the beginning of a new life with a loved one by attending their wedding.

The guests at the wedding of USMC Sgt. Joshua Newville and Senior Airman Emily Leehan were expecting a good time, but they also witnessed one of the most unforgettable moments in history.

Leehan had prepared vows for her stepson Gage, and as she began reading them aloud, the adorable little boy couldn’t contain his excitement at his father’s wedding. It was evident that he not only accepted his future mother but was overjoyed by his dad’s choice.

Leehan, noticing Gage’s wide-eyed look, turned to him and began reading their wedding vows.

At the end of her speech, everyone in the room went “awww” because it was so heartfelt. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house, but it was Gage’s adorable reaction that left everyone talking.

He sobbed uncontrollably as he clung to his stepmother and listened to her heartfelt words.

“I want you to be safe, to try your hardest, and to be a good person,” Leehan said. She then comforted him by saying, “Don’t cry, baby,” as she noticed that the emotional moment was overwhelming for the child.

Leehan continued, “The last thing I hope you learn is that you are a special boy. You are so incredibly smart, handsome, and kind to others. You have helped shape me into the woman that I am today, and I may not have given you the gift of life, but life surely gave me the gift of you.”

After taking a moment to compose themselves, the pair exchanged their vows.

Following the ceremony, it was reported that the newlyweds returned to work. They were both required to report back to Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, so their honeymoon had to be postponed.
