Hollywood is a place that’s full of tired clichés, one of which is older men dating younger models half their age.

And while it would be reasonable to assume that a heartthrob like Pierce Brosnan would also fall into this category, you would be very wrong if you did.

This loving couple has been with each other since 1994.

Pierce and his wife met at a party in Mexico, where she was working the event as a TV correspondent.

She had an assignment to interview Ted Danson but connected instantly with Pierce.

It turns out that Keely was just the person the Irish-born actor needed in his life at that time.

Pierce had recently lost his wife Cassandra to ovarian cancer, and the heartbroken widower was on the mend.

Cassandra’s death left the actor as a single dad, as he now had to raise his stepchildren Chris and Charlotte.

In 1997, the couple extended their blended family.

Keely gave birth to their son Dylan on January 13, 1997, and then the couple would welcome Paris, their second son, on February 27, 2001.

Since he grew up without a father, Pierce says he “cherishes” every single moment of being a dad.

However, as everyone knows, pregnancy isn’t easy on a woman’s body.

After giving birth to her children, Keely began putting on some extra weight.

However, in the superficial world of Hollywood, many fans were not very kind about her weight gain.

And people even question why Pierce would choose to stay with a woman whose appearance had undergone such a significant change.

However, those critics don’t seem to understand that the love these two soulmates share goes well beyond superficial looks.

Pierce’s love for his wife is unconditional, and he says he loves the mother of his children for who she is on the inside.

And no number on any scale will ever change that.

So when online trolls began attacking his wife over her weight, Pierce was the first one to rush to her defense.

One such attack came from Jenelle Evans, a reality TV personality who was on “Teen Mom.”

Pierce shared that even their closest friends bring up the topic. When he was asked how their friends feel about Keely’s weight gain, Pierce said:

However, the husband says that he loves his wife’s body and wouldn’t change anything.

And he sends a message out to anyone who has a problem with his wife’s body.

While Pierce isn’t an official knight (although he is an OBE), it’s clear that he’s Keely’s knight in shining armor and proudly carries that title everywhere he goes!
