Over the years, he worked his way up to become Deputy Private Secretary and eventually Private Secretary, a position he held for an impressive 20 years. Lord Robert’s unwavering dedication was recognized by Queen Elizabeth II, who honored him with the Royal Household Long and Faithful Service Medal.
