Elon Musk, known for his influence in the tech world, is surprisingly open to a potential role that could resonate with the American public. In an interview with Reuters on Monday, former President Trump expressed his willingness to consider Musk for a cabinet or advisory position if the Republicans win the upcoming November election.
“He’s incredibly smart. If he’s willing to take on the role, I would definitely consider it. He’s a brilliant individual,” Trump remarked.
Musk, who owns the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), responded on the platform with a succinct, “I am willing to serve.” This simple yet direct message hints at Musk’s openness to contributing to the Trump administration.

A strong advocate for free speech and conservative rights, Musk has also shared a photo of himself standing behind a podium with the words “Department Of Government Efficiency” and “D.O.G.E” boldly displayed—a nod to Dogecoin, the cryptocurrency he famously promoted. Though initially created as a joke, Musk’s endorsement of Dogecoin led to a significant rise in its value before it later plummeted, causing financial losses for many.
Recently, Musk has found himself increasingly aligned with conservative values, despite his previous lack of interest in public service. He has been outspoken in his criticism of actor Robert De Niro and has publicly expressed admiration for Jesus Christ, even suggesting that the West is doomed without Christianity.
Now, Musk appears ready to serve the American people, something that may come as a surprise but could very well be appreciated by many.
