Insiders shared with the Daily Mail on Monday that Akala has introduced the 49-year-old Oscar-winning actress to his friends and family.
Sources indicate that the two have developed a strong bond due to their mutual passion for history and Akala’s extensive knowledge.
At 40, Akala is said to be enlightening Angelina about Britain’s colonial history and notable Black figures in the country.
Concerning their rumored relationship, the sources from the outlet mentioned that Akala has been providing Angelina Jolie with valuable insights into Black British history as she seeks fresh inspiration for her film projects.
She was introduced to the story of Kelso Cochrane. Being a passionate historian, she has engaged in numerous discussions about both Olive Morris and Kelso.
The “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” actress and Akala have kept their relationship under wraps, but insiders reveal that he admires Jolie’s fearless and independent spirit.
“They are spending time together and meeting up frequently,” the sources mentioned, noting that they were seen separately at the London Film Festival on Thursday.
Additionally, the tabloid’s sources indicate that Jolie has expressed interest in Ms. Dynamite, Akala’s sister and a British rapper.
“They met through a charitable initiative they both supported, and Angelina is eager to learn more about his activism while enjoying his sister’s music,” they shared.
However, another source clarified that the mother of six and the “Carried Away” musician do not share a romantic relationship.
This new development in Jolie and Akala’s romance comes alongside a report indicating that they were seen together at her hotel in London.
“Angelina and Akala have been quietly enjoying nights together at her London hotel, The Corinthia,” a source shared with The Sun on Monday.
Angelina made her way to the hotel through the loading bay around 8 PM on Wednesday, and Akala joined her a couple of hours later at about 10 PM. The two spent both Wednesday and Thursday nights together in the hotel without stepping outside.
While Akala and Jolie are said to be “using different vehicles and discreet entrances to keep their relationship private,” their romance is reportedly “the real deal.”
In addition to their recent outing, the UK native and Jolie were seen together on September 29 at the New York Film Festival. Jolie’s 20-year-old son Pax, whom she shares with her ex-husband Brad Pitt, was also spotted with them.
Before the film festival, on September 28, Akala and Jolie attended an event in New York City.
Jolie was married to Pitt, 60, from 2014 until their divorce in 2016. Although they were declared single in 2019, they are still navigating the divorce proceedings.
