All of us have some degree of talent and at times, we may even be able to entertain others. For the most part, we tend to keep it between family and friends but when we have a certain level of talent, we must share it with the world.
When a 20-year-old pianist who taught himself how to play showed up on America’s Got Talent for an audition, nobody quite knew what to expect. Kieran Rhodes was a student at the Berklee College of Music and he performed a cover of an Elton John song.
He was undoubtedly a very talented individual and most people were enjoying the song but it seems as if Simon Cowell had another idea. He didn’t let him finish but rather, he stopped him by raising his hand and then asked him if he didn’t have any of his own original music.
That is when Rhodes began performing his original song, Disengage, and suddenly, he went from being a talented person to practically being a superstar overnight.
Even though he is a young man, Rhodes has proven himself to be a very talented songwriter. The lyrics for Disengage are a combination of romance and mental health exploration. He also sang in a way that people were able to connect with him, and his video from that audition has almost 8 million views on YouTube.
