Jack was a wealthy man, well-known for his kindness, and by all appearances, he had every reason to be happy. “Can I take care of her?” Jack asked immediately. “I work from home—I can manage.”

When Emily turned seven and started school, people often remarked on how much she looked like Jack. Some even joked they could be twins. Jack always smiled, thinking it was a sweet coincidence.

One afternoon, while playing with Ralph in the backyard, Emily tripped and hit her head. As Jack cleaned the wound, he noticed something unusual—a birthmark on her scalp identical to his own.

“Well, would you look at that?” he said in awe. “We have the same birthmark!”

Emily, wiping away tears, smiled up at him.
“We were always meant to be together, Dad.”

Curious, Jack decided to do a DNA test. A few weeks later, the results arrived—99.9% match. Emily was, indeed, his biological daughter.

Overwhelmed with emotion, Jack realized the truth: his ex-wife had been pregnant when she left. He called her for answers.

“What do you want, Jack?” she said coldly.

“Why didn’t you tell me about Emily?” he asked.

“I didn’t want to raise your child, and I never wanted to see you again,” she said bluntly. “I knew you’d find her eventually.” Then she hung up.

Jack was heartbroken, but also deeply grateful. Knowing Emily was truly his daughter didn’t change the way he felt—it only deepened their bond.

“Are you okay, Dad?” Emily asked, noticing his tears.

“Yes, sweetheart. I’m just… happy,” Jack replied, pulling her into a hug.
