Trump Praised for Israel–Hamas Peace Deal
1. Historic Agreement
Former President Donald Trump is earning rare bipartisan praise after brokering a peace deal between Israel and Hamas,
ending two years of conflict that began with the October 2023 Hamas attack.
2. Terms of the Deal
With help from Qatar and regional allies, Trump’s team secured a ceasefire that freed
“all 20 remaining Israeli hostages” and “more than 1,900 Palestinian prisoners.”
3. Bipartisan Praise
Bill Clinton said Trump and his team “deserve great credit” for their commitment,
urging leaders to turn this “fragile moment” into lasting peace.
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer called the hostages’ release “a wonderful day.”
4. Hope for the Future
Trump described the deal as “a pivotal moment for long-term stability” and vowed continued support for peace.
While Democrats like Obama and Jeffries praised the ceasefire, they stopped short of crediting Trump directly.
