Wife Gets Revenge on Husband Who Said She Does ‘Nothing around the House’

A woman’s husband made her feel like she did nothing around the house, and so she showed him what their home looked like when she actually did nothing. She shared the video on TikTok and has since gone viral.

When husbands are too caught up with their work and other activities, they tend to bypass everything a woman does to keep their household together. One man learned this the hard way after his wife stopped cleaning and fixing their home.

The woman, Lindsay Donnelly, shared the aftermath of her husband’s words and how their house looked like after two days of doing nothing.

Lindsay’s Husband Made Her Feel like She Did Nothing at Home
According to her TikTok video, the Connecticut resident’s husband made a negative comment about her doing “nothing around the house.” Admittedly, she did not like his statement and knew that her activities kept their house tidy and organized. To teach her husband a lesson, Lindsay documented what their home looked like after she actually did nothing at home.

Lindsay’s video captured a messy and disorganized home with toys scattered on the floor, dishes left unwashed on the sink, and laundry piling up. Their living room was also a mess, with pillows and blankets everywhere.

After her video received over a million views and thousands of comments, Lindsay made a follow-up post with her husband. She told him about the video she made while laughing but received no response from her spouse. If anything, he did not look impressed and said, “Sorry TikTok,” with no emotions.

Both of Lindsay’s videos were met with supportive comments from women who were not happy with her husband. In the first video, several TikTok users suggested that she leave her husband, while others applauded what she did. “Bravo darling,” one person said, while another commented:

“Good for you, they don’t notice ’til it is no longer done. Used to get the same from my ex [sic].”

Meanwhile, Lindsay’s second video also had a lot of negativity toward her husband. Many did not like the man’s reaction and noticed that Lindsay felt uncomfortable around him. “I mean, he apologised to us, but did he apologise to you [sic]?” another person said.

The couple, who share a four-year-old and a seven-year-old, both find it challenging to keep their home spick and span at times.
Admittedly, Lindsay believes her husband is a good man. In a later interview, she revealed that her husband’s snide comment about doing nothing was a spontaneous complaint. She added:

“It wasn’t an ongoing fight. It’s more of the day-to-day ‘keeping a house in order with two working parents and two little kids’ conversation.”

The couple, who share a four-year-old and a seven-year-old, both find it challenging to keep their home spick and span at times. However, Lindsay does make an effort to tidy up. So, when her husband made the remark, she decided to go on a strike.

She went out with her friends the evening before creating the TikTok video and laughed about her doing nothing at home. She went on a girl’s trip the following day, but not before leaving the house untouched. Although she felt bad, she found humor in the moment and decided to film it.

Lindsay was mad at her husband that morning and, while making the bed, paused and decided to stop. “[My daughter[ was in there with me while I was making the bed, and then I stopped myself and said, ‘You know what?’ and unmade the bed,” Lindsay shared.

According to Lindsay, she and her husband have a great relationship, so much so that they can poke fun at each other during tough times. This is why she gets to show what a couple’s reality is on social media while laughing at it with her husband. However, she did not want people to think divorce was where they were headed.

Do you think the woman was right in teaching her husband a lesson? Would you have done the same?

In a similar story, a Texan man received backlash after posting about not helping his wife clean, cook, and care for their four kids. He later shared what he did to help and received praise from the online community.
