Cori Broadus has returned home after being hospitalized following a severe stroke. Many people who heard about her health issue and saw the pictures of her at home sent her prayers.
Two days ago, the daughter of rap icon Snoop Dogg, Cori Broadus, took to Instagram to share great news that she is back at her house. Cori posted a carousel of images showing her taking it easy in her room in a cozy-looking purple tracksuit.
She had been staying in the hospital after suffering a severe stroke at just 24. Many people, including her doting mom, Shante Broadus, were delighted to see the young musician doing better.
Shante expressed as much in the comment section, saying, “Welcome Home Baby Girl 💙💙 I Love You.” Cori responded, “I love you so much more couldn’t have asked for a better mama.” A fan who was also happy to learn about Cori’s return home expressed, “Welcome home!! Thank God!! Keeping you in prayer!! You’re a star!! Keep shining!!❤️.”
Another swooned, “Praise God🙌🏾 I’m so happy for you, sweetheart, continue healing and resting 🙏🏽✨🤎,” while someone else stated, “I’m glad you are doing better.”
In addition to the post she shared on her Instagram feed, Cori also posted pictures on her Instagram Story. The images showed a selfie of Cori, a photo of her sitting in a car with her fiancé, Wayne Duece, and a picture of her family members. She also shared a photo of her dad performing and a picture of her dog, Scar, resting in his kennel at home.
A few days ago, when Cori was still in the hospital, she shared an update concerning her health. One of the pictures showed a collage of images of the artist posing in hospital attire as she gave a thumbs-up to the camera.
The text in the picture read, “God is working overtime you hear me! My kidneys were doing terrible..doctors came in this am and said they are improving so much.” Another Instagram Story update showed an endearing picture of Cori Broadus’ family visiting her in hospital.
The daughter of iconic musician Snoop Dogg and entrepreneur Shanté Broadus has tragically endured a serious health complication. Cori Broadus, 24, took to her Instagram Story to share the news that she has suffered a stroke.
One of her friends, Itali Miller, posted about the health scare on her own social media account, in support of Cori. She shared a picture of Cori with a message asking people to send their well wishes to her friend.
Before Itali’s supportive post, Cori’s announcement, which was made yesterday, disclosed, “I had a severe stroke this am…I started breaking down crying when they told me.” In another part of her Instagram Story, Cori, who wore a blue mask and pink hoodie, expressed, “Like I’m only 24 what did I do in my past to deserve all of this.”
In a post that Itali shared afterward, she addressed the public, “Please send her all your love and prayers for a speedy recovery…We love you beautiful! 💓🐘 @princessbroadus.” The image Itali accompanied with her heartfelt message showed a smiling Cori lying in a hospital bed, holding onto an elephant plush toy.
Itali has not been the only person uplifting her friend during this challenging time, as Cori’s loving fiancé has also shown her support. In a post he made to his Instagram Story yesterday, Wayne Polk posted a heartwarming photograph of him and Cori embracing.
In his caption, he called her the “strongest person” he knows. Wayne and Cori have been engaged since November 2022.
Sadly, Cori’s recent stroke is not the first health issue the 24-year-old has faced in her life. At just six years old, the young musician was diagnosed with lupus. Last year, she conducted an interview where she opened up about how she has been coping with the health ailment all these years.
During the discussion, Cori divulged, “I’ve had medication since I was 6 years old…I wanted to change because it just became a lot. I’m only 24 years old, taking 10 to 12 pills every single day. So I kind of just went cold Turkey.”
Cori Broadus made a decision to stop taking her medication several months ago and instead adopted more natural and holistic forms of treatment, like drinking herbal teas, lots of water, and staying active. As a result of the things she decided to change, the “Do My Thang” artist reported feeling much better than she did before.
However, she also highlighted her awareness that making necessary changes to her lifestyle is a continued learning process.
In this regard, the rap mogul’s daughter clarified that while she has moments of feeling good, she also still has moments where she struggles both physically and mentally with her illness.
